About Stud Farm De Radstake
De Radstake has long been a well-known name and remains so today. Originally, De Radstake was a historic inn with a farm located on the historic Hessenweg (Romienendiek) in Varsseveld. Today, the farm has transformed into Stud Farm De Radstake, while the inn has become a restaurant with a dance hall and event facilities.

Stud Farm De Radstake is a versatile enterprise and has been active for over 60 years in stallion management, breeding, trading, and sport. Thanks to the outstanding international breeding results of our own broodmares, we rank highly on the European standings.
In addition to the successful offspring of our broodmares, the progeny of our stallions also perform remarkably well, including our pride and joy, Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve. This 29-year-old stallion has made a significant impact on breeding, and we hope he will continue to contribute for many years to come. His offspring stand out internationally and achieve numerous victories.
Besides stallion management and breeding, we also have several showjumpers and dressage horses competing at international level, achieving impressive results. Furthermore, we offer talented horses of various ages and levels for sale, suitable for both showjumping and dressage disciplines.

The family business, De Radstake
Stud Farm De Radstake has been passed down from generation to generation. It was founded by Hendrik Venderbosch, who started by maintaining broodmares. These mares were used both in the fields and for breeding purposes. Unfortunately, Hendrik passed away at a young age, but fortunately his son, Johan Venderbosch, took over the business.
Johan had a strong interest in breeding. His goal was to elevate the breeding program by focusing on what horses needed to succeed at higher levels of sport. It was during this time that he encountered the young stallion Pericles xx Pref. (Relic xx x Big Game xx) and immediately purchased him. Pericles xx Pref., a Thoroughbred, went on to make a significant impact on international breeding.
Since then, De Radstake has grown into Stud Farm De Radstake, with Johan’s three children, Henriëtte, André, and Robert, becoming involved in the business. Henriëtte and André have focused on the equine side, while Robert has taken charge of the restaurant, dance hall, and event complex.
Legendary stallions for breeding
De Radstake’s journey began with the legendary stallion Pericles xx Pref. (Relic xx x Big Game xx). He was followed by other iconic sires such as Amor Pref. (Herrscher x Loretto), Le Mexico Keur (Mexico x Brule Tout), Calvados Keur (Uriél x Ibraham x Hornet), Cadmus (Supreme Court xx x Abernant xx), and Burggraaf Keur Pref. (Landgraf I x Cor de la Bryère x Mandarin). Each of these stallions has made a significant impact on breeding and has firmly placed Stud Farm De Radstake on the international map.
Today, we proudly offer a strong roster of top homebred stallions, including Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve Pref., Corydon van T&L, El Salvador, Demonic Z, Monator, and Napardi, as well as SWS stallions.
